Helping others is our shared mission, which knows no boundaries.

Who are we?

Firefighters for Gaza is a Polish humanitarian initiative that arose from the need to act in response to the suffering of people affected by the conflict in the Gaza Strip.

We started in Poland, but quickly joined forces with firefighters and volunteers from across Europe who believe that human life should be protected regardless of place of birth or political reality.

We do not represent any side in the conflict.
We represent people who deserve safety, shelter and dignity.

The current situation in Gaza

Today, there are no more explosions or sirens.
Peace has been officially declared.
But for the people who have lost their homes, this peace is more of a formality than a reality.

Thousands of families live in tents – in mud, in the cold, without heating, water or privacy. Children sleep in their jackets, and parents try to protect them from the cold that penetrates the canvas just as much as fear.

Houses, schools, streets – gone. There is nowhere to return to. No one feels safe, because it is impossible to feel safe when you have no roof over your head.

The world decided that the conflict was over.
But for these people, only the stage visible in the media has ended.

Now, a quieter, more difficult stage of the daily struggle for survival is underway.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to protect life and restore basic living conditions to those who have been left facing cold, hunger, disease and homelessness.

We are not talking about abstract help.
We are talking about specific, tangible actions that determine whether children will survive the winter.

ORIGINS

We were founded because we knew that the end of bombardment does not end the tragedy.

That “peace” announced publicly does not mean people have somewhere to live, something to eat, or a way to keep their children warm.

We saw images of tents flooded with rain, children sheltering from the cold under thin fabric, families who, after losing everything, were trying to rebuild from scratch—without tools, without support, without hope.

And we knew we could not watch this without taking action.

That is why we created Firefighters for Gaza—to transform helplessness into solidarity, and compassion into real help that gives people something as basic as a roof over their heads.

We do not believe we can change the entire world.

But we believe that no one should spend winter in a tent, simply because they were born on the wrong side of the map.
